TOWN CRIER OR CHICKEN WITHOUT A HEAD?????

BLIZZARD IS COMING,BLIZZARD IS COMING,BLIZZARD IS COMING!!!!
I'M PRACTICING FOR TOWN CRIER....or is it.....CHICKEN WITH ITS HEAD
CUT OFF??????????????

Yesterday ended up 61 before day was shot! It was sunny, south wind, thanks Texas Westies and very nice. A little windy but I spent time walkin',sniffin' and huntin' with Gpa. It was pawtastic and I loved it! Today it was 52 for the high and is now fallin'. No sunshine and windy! The pawsome straight south wind is now out of the north
and COLD! All the snow was GONE!!!!! Huge flocks of geese were flyin' north today.

Snow, winds up to 50 mph are suppose to bring a full Spring Blizzard upon us! It is
suppose to arrive tonight about dark. Last until tomorrow night with a high of only
19 without windchill....6" and up is the forecast for us.....If, it is as BAD as they are
predicting, they will shut our interstates down. It's the only way to keep those crazy
humans at home, where they should be! I mean really, who goes out,if it isn't an emergency in a blizzard????????? Last blizzard we had a very pregnant lady go out...She was stranded, then called 911 and said, "she went into labor!"  The
poor volunteer ambulance crew fought to reach her AND she wasn't in labor! She
was tired of sitting in the car, buried in snow! I never did hear what she was charged
with????? Since she was going to have a baby very soon....Probably only charged
with plain old-fashion stupidity! Can you believe it???????? Lack of wisdom is
why they block our interstates off in such storms....People will still drive around the
gates...Truly some people end up in real Big Legal Trouble! Its the upside, cuz others
leave these auto....Get lost, severe frostbite or freeze to death...These are probably the
same people who say Pups are Dumb! You know the kind of folks, I'm talkin' about?

Gpa is outside puttin' straw in some barns. Some cows are due anytime! Beef cows
are known for calving in storms! Bison stop calving and start again after a storm rolls through. Can't tell you why, stock cows are so stupid???????? Gpa had to take the
4 wheeler out to the pasture and close off a bunch of gates. Cows will also go away
from the wind, even if it takes them miles from home!

I live 1/4 mile from the county gravel road and so is the ranchyard. Gpa was tryin'
to sort cattle this mornin'.....YOU Know, close to drop or not for awhile! A couple
people (don't know who, probably youngsters) went down the road with motorcycles.
They were sputterin' and backfirin'....they scared our Moos and they all ran out to the big open pastures....If it wasn't suppose to storm, a better place for them. It's dry and not sloppy like spring corrals.....

Gpa came in and was HOT! Sweaty and Temper! Not a good combo! Gma ask, what
was wrong????  She had the condensed version as he Blew Off a Little Steam! He
has a pretty long fuse....The cycles undid everything he had already done! Oops!!!
By the time, he does what he can to protect the cattle....it will be evening chore time.
He's been outside since 8 a.m. He was only in 20 minutes for a quick sandwich and chips at 2p. His farm pickup went to the shop on Friday for a new fuel pump....So he has his tractors and 4 wheeler. The new autos, the Impala and Retirement Pickup
are not going out across the rough prairie .... He's gonna call our neighbor Jon to come and hook on his gooseneck grain trailer and pull it inside for him. He just picked up grain for the cattle. He doesn't need it to get all wet!

Gma and I made up his favorite for supper! Shrimp and crab with yellow rice...seafood enchiladas. Lots of co-jack cheese on top.... Gma makes them early mornin' to clean up the mess. We heat the oven and put the big 9 x 13 pan
in to bake for supper. Since they are real cold, it usually takes a good strong hour
to bake them up. We have some nice fresh ripe pears for him. A tossed green salad for Gma. Me,why I'm having my venison steak....I had roast beef bites at lunch time.

Gma and I are workin' with the new Pain Box...so far no trouble today! Yippy!
There is so much to read and so many things to set up.....Gma's little head can only work at it so long......Otherwise her neck and shoulder get too sore and she gets crabby! She doesn't have this trouble with her desktop....A special handicapped desk
keep everything in the best place for her limitations...Other problem is....the old
brain can only absorb, so much per day OR she turns to MUSH!!! You should see
her....You'd think she was drinkin' nnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooootttttttttttttttttttttt!
You can't make an old person sponge up too much info. at one time! Honest ....I
think she would blow up! Explode and it would be a gross mess!

Anywho....I've told you about my day. I'll let you know how it all unfolds around here. I need to paw out some furmails. Maybe talk someone into a treat???????
Probably not.....lunch was late!

Hugs and Kisses,Mazy

  1. Oh Mazy! Your snow was all gone? We still have lots and today we got snow, freezing rain and strong winds, but no blizzard. Certainly hope that blizzard won't be too severe. Last April we had a blizzard up here that closed roads. There was a pregnant woman in labor and her husband was trying to get her to the hospital. They called in the emergency crews and the emergency crews went up and down the highway to the farms and finally found a farmer at 2:30 a.m. with a big tractor that was able to get to the stranded car, and the ambulance got to the car right as she was giving birth! Wowzers! It sounds like a pawsome meal you made for grandpa! Hugs!
